About the project
STEMS project deals with adult education in partners’ countries and across Europe, i.e., their scarce participation in learning. To improve this state of affairs, this project will elaborate on the possibilities of high-quality education and determine the main obstacles to participation and persistence of adults in learning. This project’s goal is to resolve problems and difficulties they are faced with and respond to needs of adult learners on the one side, and those of adult education providers on the other.
This project aims to:
- increase the number of adults in education
- fulfil the demand of adult learners for high quality education, providing necessary support and taking their needs into account
- contribute to the need of adult education providers for teachers and staff that possess competencies, strategies and tools necessary to motivate and engage adult learners, as well as maintain their learning persistence.
The project will improve the quality of interaction between target groups and adult learners through advancement of communication competencies and motivation, and improved cooperation and communication via ICT tools.
The pilot training programme for teachers and staff will be based on a practical and interactive approach to training tools, so as to ensure that teachers have the possibility of applying tools and methods in practice. It is our desire to form a more competent and professional education staff that are able to progress beyond the traditional approach to education culture.
The project will produce positive results for participating organisations, since project partners will improve their personal and digital approaches to teaching, strengthen cooperation with relevant education institutions in their respective regions and countries, as well as with relevant stakeholders in other countries, thus contributing to their internationalisation.
