About the project

E-PROGRESS project deals with the development of digital competencies of staff in adult education institutions. Sudden advances in technology have brought about increased demands of modern society, setting new lifelong learning expectations. There is a need for new teaching approaches, including the introduction of ICT in teaching and the education process as a whole. New approaches in education require staff, teachers and learners to engage in independent research and use alternative sources and tools. This necessitated that new learning and teaching models be supported by information and media literacy.

The E-PROGRESS project was submitted by the Adult Education Institution Dante, and persons directly involved in project activities are staff who, alongside the delivery of teaching and workshops, acquire new knowledge and ICT skills, thus broadening the institution’s offer.

Spurred by the desire to maintain high quality of teaching and the institution as a whole, while also keeping in line with its long term development plan, the goals of this project are:

  • development of ICT competencies and digital literacy of staff, so as to modernise teaching and teaching methods and increase teaching quality within the institution,
  • mastery of different e-tools and platforms for the creation of teaching materials and delivery of teaching,
  • development of creative and critical thinking, as well as motivation of course participants, staff, learners, and other relevant personnel,
  • promotion and development of media and virtual literacy for quality and relevance of education at all levels,
  • creation of a space for exchanging experiences and best practices among teachers and learners,
  • promotion of collaboration between education sectors and expansion of the collaborative network at the local, regional and EU level,
  • increase of internationalisation of education.
