About the project
COMPASS is an initiative that came out of a need recognised in all partner countries, namely the motivation of adult learners to more actively participate in lifelong learning.
GOALS
Partners’ goals include the development of new and innovative ways of combining foreign language learning and cultural heritage. This will result in the creation of education materials and methodologies aimed at improving pedagogic competencies of teachers in adult education, and fostering motivation of older learners. One of the main advantages of the COMPASS project is the increased motivation of adult learners to take part in lifelong learning.
OUTPUTS
In order to achieve project goals, partners suggest the following intellectual outputs be developed:
- An open platform with a database of tools for teachers in adult education
- The development and implementation of the “Cultural Narratives as Learning Motivation for Adults” course, delivered to teachers in adult education in a blended learning format
- The development of the “COMPASS: Creating Identities through Cultural Memory” digital book: Easily accessible foreign language learning and teaching materials for adult learners
- The development of virtual geocaching paths of culture for older learners.
