About the project

INTERACTE project deals with the use of technology in adult education, and career and education counselling. Choosing education technology, tools and methodologies is a daunting task for the education institution and adult learners alike. For people who have mustered the courage to enrol into a study programme despite their disadvantaged position, a disappointing experience is the worst thing that can happen. Bad choices may be detrimental to a school’s reputation, as well as employees’ and learners’ self-confidence, waste time and money, and destroy trust between learners and institutions. It is, therefore, important to learn from examples of best practices and take into account different experiences when it comes to using technology in education and career and education counselling.

Within the INTERACTE project the following will be implemented:

  • Professional development of teachers, career and education counsellors, and other staff through examples of best practices and exchange of knowledge and experiences on interactive approaches to teaching and learning;
  • Motivation of career and education counsellors, teachers, and other staff to learn about interactive use of technology in counselling and teaching/learning;
  • Helping career and education counsellors develop and implement efficient strategies for different target groups of adults, so as to improve their basic learning skills;
  • Creation of ICT action plans;
  • Organisation of workshops on the development and use of examples from technical projects;
  • Introduction of special approaches to learning and acquisition of knowledge necessary to help learners use ICT in education;
  • Methods of nurturing the joy of learning and preventing potential disappointment among adult learners;
  • Improvement of the way adult education institutions approach target groups, regardless of place and time;
  • Creation of opportunities for learners’ self-assessment of their progress with the help of interactive study materials;
  • Development of the project’s web page with links to websites of partner institutions.

Effects and long-term benefits of the project will be mainly visible through employees of partner institutions and other education staff who will learn from the project results. Target groups of institutions will have an easier access to education opportunities and guidelines, regardless of place and time. The impact of the project will be visible at the local and national levels, since it will facilitate learning and provide guidelines to disadvantaged groups. At the European level, knowledge, experiences and best practices will be exchanged between partners and their communities, and communication between different European nationalities will be stimulated.
