DIGITAL UPBRINGING

The general goal of the ‘Digital Upbringing’ project is to develop and implement an education project that would support parents, their children, and teachers in the development of digital competencies necessary to safely navigate the digital world.

The project has 5 specific goals, which are:

• Delivery of a project that not only offers unique resources and opportunities for the target group, but also builds capacities of the consortium.
• To develop minimal digital parenting competencies for 180 parents in 6 domains.
• To create more initiatives for raising awareness about digital parenting and family media in the community.
• To equip trainers with confidence to develop and implement workshops and educational events, as well as to meet local needs in regard to intergenerational learning within the digital domain.
• To share project results with the broader public, and raise awareness about ways in which parents can support safe, responsible and creative use of digital tools and Internet media in their families.

Project target groups are primarily parents and guardians, either through tailor-made work packages or as users of services offered by other target groups in this project (i.e., parents participating in the training provided by educators of adults), educators of adults involved in testing, and as participants in the project network and participants of multiplier events, institutions that conduct family learning, as well as the general public and interested individuals.
