Teaching transferable skills
COURSE SUMMARY
The course is aimed at teachers (primary, secondary, vocational, university, adult, special needs) and teacher trainers. The course will provide teachers with a range of specific activities and strategies for incorporating essential transferable skills (communication, teamwork, time management, problem solving and others) into their classes.
Participants will work on practical examples and adapting activities they can use in their classrooms with the aim of increasing their learners’ life and career skills as well as their chances in the job market.
Participants will also have the opportunity to observe, reflect, discuss, and exchange their experiences and examples of good practice with other teachers.
OUTCOMES
After completing the course, participants will be able to:

employ various strategies and activities to incorporate key transferable skills into their classes
- adapt existing material and activities to incorporate key transferable skills
- increase their students’ autonomy and metacognition
- meet colleagues from other European countries, share experiences and examples of good practice
