About the project

Erasmus+ AdELe – It is Never too Late to Learn project came out of the partnership of five European education institutions and vocational schools wishing to contribute to Europe 2020 goals. The exchange of best practices in adult education will bring about the advancement of skills of teachers, trainers and key persons in the lifelong learning process, the creation of a framework of online tools, and improved workflow at the transnational level.

The goal of this project is to improve quality and provision of adult education through the development of skills of those responsible for its implementation – teachers and adult education experts, as well as other workers in key adult education institutions in the local community.

The project was initiated by the Haapsalu Centre for Vocational Education and Training that, as the local coordinator and main adult education provider in its area, acted on the statistics according to which only 15% of Estonians take part in lifelong learning. The project is focused on topics relevant for each country, and international experiences broaden and develop teacher competencies and improve quality and provision of adult education in all partner countries.

In order to achieve best possible results, each country will involve different parties responsible for adult education: entrepreneurs, local associations, unemployment agencies, and other informal vocational education providers and adult education institutions.
